Building public awareness of social issues takes time. Changing the way people think and act requires a whole different set of strong marketing tools – and staying power. The Parents Matter campaign from Prairie View Prevention Services and the South Dakota Department of Public Safety has both.
We’ve worked alongside Prairie View Prevention Services to affect the way South Dakota parents deal with the issue of underage drinking and driving, keeping the messaging relevant year after year.
The latest campaign includes a website, social media presence, television and radio advertising, video and conversation starters for parents and packets consisting of brochures, letters and talking points that are given to 175 participating school districts across South Dakota. It reaches parents where they are with a strong, effective and painfully true message: Parents Matter.
