Ears Up
The SDSU Jackrabbits like to flash their “Ears Up’ handt sign and cheer. As the school looked to renovate their historic arena, we kept our ears up – and open – too.
The Challenge
Make a Statement
The university’s top priority was the new main entrance, featuring a 100-foot-long showcase wall. They wanted something bold, unique, and representative of SDSU. It was one space among many, but all the rebranding and interior signage work and display spaces had to appear cohesive throughout.
The Strategy
History, Meet Modern Design
HS has expertise in modern materials from wall wrap vinyl, to acrylic, aluminum and everything in between. We used them all at SDSU. But we also procured recycled wood from the school’s original basketball court to build a stunning three-dimensional donor wall display, marrying the past to the present.
The Results
High Impact
In addition to the main entrance and donor wall, HS created full wall wraps, a Hall of Fame wall and dozens of other spaces throughout the arena, all as part of the new First Bank & Trust rebranding.. The result? A visual statement and impact as stunning as a game-winning buzzer beater.
