Experience Sioux Falls has spent most of the last 50 years as the Sioux Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau. HenkinSchultz and Experience Sioux Falls teamed up to showcase that history with “A Celebration 50 Years in the Making”.

The goal was to make the event a theater-in-the-round type experience while still maintaining a feasible production budget. This was achieved through some creative video projection work from our live production team and a ton of pre-production.

The celebration included awards, speeches, a keynote speaker, videos, and live vocal performance featuring Allison Nash with an original Whitney Houston instrumental score from Nash’s friend and mentor: the acclaimed David Foster.

Thanks to several rounds of pre-promotion direct mail efforts, over 800 people attended the celebration — and many commented as if they “were at the Grammys.” To hear that type of praise from Experience Sioux Falls and attendees is the greatest of rewards.
