2024 marketing plan

As the new year comes into view, it’s a good time to examine your marketing goals for 2024. Doing so requires a brief look back:

  • What did you do this past year that outperformed your expectations?
  • What did you do this past year that under performed your expectations?
  • What did you add or discontinue from your business? And how should you adjust accordingly?
  • Do you know what your anticipated marketing investment is for the coming year? And how can you measure it and justify it?

It’s easy to just push forward and dive into the new year. But if you take just a bit of time to examine your numbers, self-reflect and anticipate the future, you stand a better chance of setting and surpassing your marketing goals for 2024.

Whether those goals are sales, impressions, clicks or conversations, HS can help with your self-analysis and explore your Key Performance Indicators, as well as set new ones.

It’s Not Spring, But Housekeeping is Good

Just as you gather your paperwork and all the reporting requirements on year-end fiscal footprint, it’s good to collect an audit of your online footprint, too.

  • Is your Google My Business listing up to date? With operational hours? Seasonal hours? And updated photos?
  • Is your social content current? Are you posting on your Facebook or Instagram once-a-week?
  • Has your website been refreshed? Are all your links working? Are your pages, photos and title tags SEO ready?

It can take a little time to stay on top of such digital housekeeping, but HS is here to help with that too.

Now About That Marketing Plan…

We’ve talked a bit about how to do an audit of your past year, and clean up any loose ends for the upcoming year. Now how do you best develop that into “a plan”? It’s important to gather the following:

  • Know your existing spending commitments, whether they be media contracts, sponsorships or other donations.
  • Understand what media channels you hope to use in the coming year, radio, TV, OTT, print, outdoor, etc.
  • Know the seasonal, topical, product or service you hope to market with each channel?
  • And of course, you have to budget for such and manage that investment.

HS helps numerous companies of varying sizes put together marketing plans – using a lot of thought, research, strategy and experience. (We also lay them out in very fancy spreadsheets that give you a great visual of your marketing activity.)

Doing so not only helps you keep track of your budgeting and activities, it helps formulate a road map for the year ahead … .and where you plan to go. Do you need help building a road map and setting your 2024 marketing goals?

HS is ready to help. Schedule a meeting to learn more here.
