IMPORTANCE OF BRAND PHOTOGRAPHY

HS has talked a lot about branding lately – and what it means to you and your business. We thought it would be a good time to talk a little bit about the importance of brand photography.

An Accurate Reflection of Your Business

We already know that in business, appearances mean a lot, especially for a first time customer.

Someone seeking you out online will make an initial judgment about your business based upon your photography.

Great brand photography accomplishes a few things. At its very baseline, it shows you are a real business or person. When comparison-shopping any business or service, your customer wants to be able to see a visual representation of you to verify you are not some fly-by-night operation.

Photography also shows you in action and demonstrates the type of work you do. For example, a construction site in progress with action shots of people working tells a much bigger story than a group shot of your team.

Having said that, individual and team shots are important. Good lighting, composition, appropriate dress and logo wear all make for better team photography. How your team looks online or in materials reflects your professionalism and dedication to the business.

Combined, good brand photography helps build the most accurate reflection of your business.

Good Photography Doesn’t Have to Be Time Intensive

All good things do take some time. But at HS, we’re very conscious about any stopping of your work, and getting you back to work. That’s why we have our own in-house photography studio and a team that can also travel to you.

When you remove the barriers of how disruptive you may think photography is, the opportunities to improve your visual brand really open up. Consider if you may need to add or update the following:

  • Exterior photos of your business
  • New remodeling or features aimed to better serve customers
  • Seasonal photos of you in action (without all the snow)
  • New products or sales material photography
  • Team headshots
  • Teams in action
  • Project before-and-afters

The nature of your business may always dictate how much you show…but when you do show off, you want to make sure a customer says wow.

Considering a Photography Update?

HS can make the process a lot more painless. We have the team and the experience to capture through the lens – what truly makes the best first – and second and third – impression.
