If you have had the chance to work with HS recently, you’ve probably had the pleasure of talking to Donna Warner on the phone or over email. As our Business Manager, she keeps everything behind-the-scenes running smoothly and elevates our work by enhancing our processes.
To learn even more about her balance sheet superpowers, we asked her some questions about her day-to-day operations and previous experiences in accounting.
What is your primary role as the Business Manager?
My primary role is to process job tickets which includes creating the ticket through invoicing the client. I also handle all of the accounting process through the completion of financial statements.
How do you serve clients in your role?
I help the client by making sure they are invoiced correctly and their payments are applied as directed. If anyone has a question about their billing or our business as a whole, I’m usually the one they come in contact with.
What attracted you to work at a marketing agency like HS?
My background was in the accounting field for technology companies. I thought this would be a great opportunity to work in a completely different genre of workplace and to be a part of a growing team.
How did your previous roles prepare you for your current one?
Throughout my career, I have worked with many different accounting packages, so I was able to quickly learn and enhance some of the processes already in place. Continuing education and always refining what I do in my position is really important to me.
What are you Crazy Obsessed about?
Of course, reconciling accounts to the penny. Doesn’t everyone?
