Expert Event Planning Helps Set the Stage for Annual Chamber Meeting

How do you make a big event even bigger?

At the 2016 Sioux Falls Area Chamber Annual Meeting, HenkinSchultz’s event planning team helped put together and produce a remarkable show that encouraged members to take a look back at all they’ve accomplished, honored outgoing President/CEO Evan Nolte for his 37 years if leadership and explored the diverse points of view between the different generations that comprise today’s workplace. The evening started with a larger-than-life performance from Celtic Steps, combining the entrancing rhythms of traditional Celtic music with the grace and energy of dance to kick off the event in a big way. A tribute to Evan Nolte, musical performances and an insightful presentation by Bridgeworks about the generational dynamics in the workplace, highlighted the evening event. To make the entire stage come to life with movement and motion, we used custom-printed fabric scrims in multiple layers, mesh banners, thoughtful lighting effects, and a talented and inspired list of speakers and entertainers. Event planning like this production for the Sioux Falls Area Chamber’s Annual Meeting, requires well thought-out staging, the vision to see all the pieces coming together and attention to even the smallest detail before and during the production. According to our own special event production expert, Jason Jellis, every year that we work with the Chamber on this event, we want to do something remarkable that makes people proud to be among the people of Sioux Falls that make things happen. “We work to put together the right elements to make this event not only memorable, but something that hits home the theme, Together. We Can.” Rest assured, with the right people behind the scenes, we can accomplish great things.
