They make it look so easy.
Willow Run Golf Course in Sioux Falls is the place to be this week for LPGA hopefuls from the U.S and 24 countries as they compete for their piece of the biggest purse – $210,000 – in Symetra Tour history and a coveted full exempt status on the LPGA Tour. It’s also a great place to be if you want to see how the pros do it. They swing, make contact with the ball and execute a perfect drive. No sweat.
That’s kind of the way we looked at marketing this event.
As the first of many GreatLIFE Challenges that will take place in Sioux Falls, marketing this tournament had a pretty steep learning curve – mostly about all the essential pieces that go into an event this big. The HenkinSchultz creative team worked in conjunction with GreatLIFE to communicate with the press, create the logo, launch website, design collateral material, plan media events, produce the signs, the parking passes, and the player badges…then promote, promote, promote with TV, radio, print and digital media.
One of the highlights of the week is a Washington Pavilion performance Thursday night featuring the Golf Channel’s David Feherty. A talented team from HenkinSchultz designed the set, produced the show and videos in in the production, and marketed the event. It’s patriotic and honors those who serve our country. (Yes, you should
get your tickets now at The Washington Pavilion website.)
The tournament is open to the public, affordable and has
events planned all week. From clinics for kids, to a trick-shot exhibition and great golf, there’s something for everyone in the family.
For the HenkinSchultz team, our goal is to be like the lady golfers and make marketing look so easy. There’s nothing like the feeling when everything comes together for a client. Golf anyone?
